Bobby Joe Riley, age 59, departed this world on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at his sister's residence surrounded by loving family.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM, New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, 5918 County Road 47, Mckenzie, AL.
Bobby Joe was born in Andalusia Christmas Day 1965 to Johnny L. Riley and Geraldine Halford. Bobby later moved to Scottsboro, where he lived for many years before moving back to Andalusia early 2025.
He lived a cheerful life celebrating his beloved Crimson Tide and #88 Dale Earnhardt, Jr. With 30+ years of OTR driving, the miles simply extended his joy. He could always be seen wearing his OTR headset on his head or around his neck, and often in Crimson Tide apparel. He could rattle off college sports statistics like no other. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Preceding him in death are his parents; sons Jonathan Carnley and BJ Riley; and grandson Caiden Riley.
Survivors include his children Danny Riley, Tiffany Riley, Chasity Riley, Jenny Paradise, Haley Ward, Courtney Ward, and Zac Riley; sisters Michelle (Glenn) Furukawa, Lisa (Marcus) Boatwright, Bobbye Jean (Mike) Whisenhant, and Kristy Lee; brothers Joey (Stacy) Lee and Bubba (Bonnie) Lee; 20 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
