Billy Wayne Taylor, Sr.

Billy Wayne Taylor age 68 of Dozier passed away January 21, 2025, at Mizell Memorial hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Dozier Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12 o’clock at the church until time of the service. Rev. Glenn Tatum will officiate the service. Special music will be provided by Frank Walker. The interment will follow in the Dozier Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Taylor, Jr., James Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Lylli Taylor, Corbin Taylor and Devon Oliver. 
Left to cherish his memory, sons, Billy Taylor, Jr. (Joanna) and James Taylor; grandchildren, Krystyna Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Lylli Taylor, Corbin Taylor, Clarissa Taylor, Colton Taylor, Adylin Taylor, Billy Taylor III and Devon Oliver; sister, Sherian Schofield (Ron), Angie Hyatt (Ron); brother, Tony Taylor (Tara), Joseph Compton (Teresa), Johnny Compton (Michelle).
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy Taylor; mother, Jewel and and his fathers, Bill Cauthen, Willie Taylor and Johnny Red Compton; sisters, Rita Calvert, Vickie Taylor, Angel Taylor, Bonnie Boling (Eric); brothers, William Taylor, John Taylor, Rockey Taylor, grandparents, Carolyn and Shorty Williamson, Lucy Walker and Lillie and Stanford Taylor.
