Billy Ingram, Jr., 55, of Andalusia, passed away January 28, 2023 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery after a short illness.
Billy was born in Lansing, MI in 1967, then moved to Athens, AL as a child. Billy was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and had been saved at ten years old. Billy relied on Jesus to carry him through a lifetime of fighting a genetic condition called Gorlin Syndrome. He fought valiantly throughout his life many health issues and relied on Jesus for everything. Billy met his wife of 22 years, Jennifer “Jenni” Ingram, in 1999, they married in 2000 and he is survived by her. He is also survived by his daughter Samantha Sanders (Jeremy); his precious granddaughters, Sara Rose and Raelynn Rose Sanders of Andalusia. Also surviving him is his brother Lester (Kimberly) Ingram and their children Leslie and Austin all of Andalusia. He has two sisters Patsy (Norman) King and family of Ludowichi, Georgia and Becky Bass and niece Hailey Modisett of Monroe, North Carolina. He has many special friends that are just like brothers or adopted children to him. That group includes Ron Roeting, Taarna Moser and Chloe, and Christene (Damian) Richardson with Zane and Kai. His mother and father are Ruby Ingram and the late Bill Ingram.
Billy’s life passion was stock car racing especially dirt car racing and when his career ended from a broken neck, he turned to helping as many people as he could with their cars. He also loved Auburn football, golfing, singing (especially southern Gospel music) and deep-sea fishing. Billy was a quiet, private man to some but when you got to know him, he was an animated friend for life. To really know Billy was to love him.
