Betty Jean Oglesby, age 78 of McKenzie passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m., until time of the service. Rev. Mark Gray will officiate. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery in Glenwood, Alabama.
Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Debbie Bush (Ralph) of Red Level, AL; Patricia Dean of McKenzie, AL; Marlon Oglesby of Red Level, AL; granddaughters and grandson, Jessica Bush of Red Level, AL; Allison Oglesby of Conway, Arkansas; Wesley Dean of McKenzie, AL; Brittany Worrells of Evergreen, AL; Marlee Worrells of Red Level, AL; Santana Gray (Daniel) of Castleberry, AL; great grandchildren, Ivy Harper (Brett), Abigail Brown (Michael), Saben Elmore, Grayson Dove, Magnolia Dove, Will Anderson, Chloe Anderson, Princess Presley, Allie Gray, Gracie Gray and Ronnie-Annabella Gray; great great grandchildren, Lively Harper, Elliott Elmore, Ryder Anderson and Judson Brown and a very special friend, Melvin Likely and a very special cousin James Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Allie Odom, her loving husband, John Oglesby; sisters, Frances Odom, Maybelle Odom, and Vera Odom; brother, Leroy Odom and a great grandchild, Sawyer Dove.
Betty Jean was born and reared in Butler County and lived most of her adult life in Covington County. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed.
