Bertie Lee Dunaway Brashier, age 79 of Red Level passed away August 1, 2024, in the Opp hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m., until time of the services. Rev. Lewis Henderson will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Bushfield Cemetery. Following the graveside service the family and friends will be gathering for a meal at 2920 Grange Forge Road, Red Level. Serving as pallbearers will be James Lee, Triston Lee, Trindon Lee, Cameron Jones, Fred Stevens, Kadyn Stevens. Honorary pallbearer will be Cadence Lee.
Left to cherish her memory, children, Kathy C. Lee (Allen C.) of Red Level; Ginger Lanette Mills of Elberta, AL; Rickey Lee Mills (Patsy) of Thorsby, AL; James Ervin Mills (Kim) of Thorsby, AL; sisters, Rosa Lee Campbell of Sylacauga, AL; and Martha Clough of Pell City, AL; grandchildren, James Lee (Donna), Theresa Jones (Joe), Crystal Lee, Denise Radford (Scott), Fred Stevens (Laura), Cassie Touchstone, eric Mills, and Dewayne Lee (Mills); great grandchildren, Catlyn Short (Blaine), Kolby Hearin (Jake), Elijah Stevens, Kadyn Stevens, Cameron Jones, Triston Lee, Trindon Lee, Cadence Lee and great great grandchildren, Corey Marshall, Jr. and Emmerson Willow Short.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Dunaway and Lillian Catherine Dunaway; son, Randall Earl Mills, grandson, Dwight David Wofford, son-in-law, Prentiss Dwayne Touchstone and six brothers and three sisters.
Bertie worked in Housekeeping at Andalusia Manor for 27 years and at other hospitals and restaurants through the years. She was a faithful member of Brooks Assembly Church before her health declined, and she could not attend. Bertie was also loved Elvis Presley and was a huge Alabama Roll Tide Fan! She was a wonderful person and was greatly loved.
