Mr. Benny Joe "B.J." Knox, of Milton, Florida, formerly of Covington County, passed away Friday, August 6, 2020, in the Milton, Florida hospital. He was 74.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2020, at Stone Lake Gardens (Hwy. 84, Andalusia). Rev. Tullis Lanier will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m., Monday, at Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia. The family will have time for eulogies, "Sharing About Dad" at approximately 10:30 a.m., prior to departing for the cemetery. Military honors will be given at the graveside.

Knox of Andalusia; Wayne Knox (JoAnn) of Andalusia; sister, Glinda Simmons of Andalusia; grandchildren, Ashley Rose Adams, Hannah Marie McCurley, Eli Failla, Evan Failla, Sadie Marie Fetsko, Jaxston Charles Banks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Littleberry Knox and Frances Elizabeth Watson; and a grandson, Joseph Edward "J.J." Adams, Jr. in 2012.
"B.J." served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he was honorably and medically discharged following the war. The U.S. Army decorated him with numerous awards resulting from his wartime service, Expert M-14 Rifle Decoration, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Overseas Bar, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Combat Infantryman's Badge. After his service time, he was employed as a Conductor with CSX Railroad. He worshipped at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, and enjoyed many hobbies, sports cars, and trucks; hunting, fishing and greatly loved his Terrier dog, "Mollie". He will be greatly missed.
