Alvie Minnie Welch Hutto, age 87, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026. She was born on January 4, 1939, in Banks, Alabama, to John Thomas Welch and Mary Nancy McLendon.
Alvie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked faithfully as a machine operator for 35 years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication throughout her career. She was known for her caring heart, strength, and love for her family, who meant everything to her.
She is survived by her sons, Kenny (Pam) Hutto of Arlington, Texas, Tommy (Rebecca) Hutto of Sanford, Alabama, and Bobby (Michelle) Hutto of Sanford, Alabama; daughters, Gail (Glenn) Worley of Sanford, Alabama, and Barbara Trusty of Independence, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Welch and Mary Nancy McLendon; her husband, Hubert Hutto; her son, Robert Hutto; and grandsons, Kevin Paul Hutto, Kenneth Leo Hutto and Travis Matthew Trusty.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel in Andalusia with Rev. Pat Kelley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Stonelake Gardens Cemetery.
