Mrs. Ada Pearl Chappell of Andalusia passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Opp hospital. She was 90.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. until time of the services. Rev. Durwood Cleland and Brother Larry Stewart will officiate. Interment will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Left to cherish her memory, son, David Chappell and his special friend, Peggy Ott of Andalusia, and Brandi Fowler and husband, Jeremy of Andalusia and great grandson, Noah Fowler.
Brother, Howard White and his wife, Allysa of Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Chappell. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Fowler, Noah Fowler, Jerry Fowler, James Akers, James Chappell and Ricky Chappell. At age 16, Ada Pearl started to work at the Alatex in Andalusia and remained there until it's closure; then she went to work at Van Heusen in Opp and remained there until she retired at age 65. She had a tremendous work ethic. She was a member of West Highland Baptist Church and loved her church. She enjoyed taking long walks and flower gardening.
