Huston Philyaw Obituary
Mr. Huston Edmon Philyaw, of Pensacola (formerly of Andalusia), passed away Friday, June 7, 2019, in a Pensacola hospital. He was 62. He was born January 28, 1957, to the late Richard William Philyaw, Sr., and the later Mary Lou Spears Philyaw.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Andalusia Full Gospel Tabernacle; Rev. John Hunt will officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel in Andalusia and at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Antioch Congregational Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Mefford, Daniel Cooper Jr., Daniel Cooper Sr., Bobby Boswell, Jason Rester, Scott Fulmer, and Chuck Mefford. Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include his loving wife, Selina Philyaw of Pensacola, FL.; daughters, Delanna Philyaw, and Kelly Philyaw both of Pensacola, FL.; Sabrina Philyaw of Laurel, Mississippi; sons, Richard Philyaw of Wewahitchka, FL., David Philyaw of Lucedale, Mississippi; mother-in-law, Ann Lawson of Andalusia; sisters, Elizabeth Clark of Panama City, Fl; Ruby P. Mowrey of Andalusia; brothers, J.W. Philyaw of Andalusia; Mack Philyaw, Earl Philyaw of Deltona, Fl; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Lewis Philyaw, Richard William Philyaw Jr., and Robert Eugene Philyaw; and one sister, Betty Carpenter.
Mr. Philyaw was a graduate of Andalusia High School and worked in residential construction most of his life.
