Thomas Livingston, Sr.

Mr. Thomas Livingston, Sr., age 73, of Blue Springs, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at his residence.  Mr. Livingston taught school, beginning in Georgetown, GA, and then in  Ozark, Brundidge and Abbeville, AL.  He retired in Selma after 23 years in the Selma school system.  He then moved back to Blue Springs in 2003.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, loved being outdoors, and fishing and hunting.

Mr. Livingston is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn (Hagler) Livingston of Blue Springs, his children:  Jason Livingston, Joseph Livingston, and Ashley (James) Livingston Toole; his grandchildren, Joseph W. Livingston, Jr. and James Daniel Toole; his sister, Laquitta Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Livingston, Jr. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Springs Word of Truth Cemetery (formerly Blue Springs Assembly of God Church Cemetery).   Serving as pallbearers:  Terry Garrett, Tommy Danford, Jason Waddel, Shane Teal and Chris Wilkerson.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Clio.
