Shirley Skapnit Finley Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Nachsin Skapnit Finley, of Red Level, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019, in a Greenville Nursing Facility. She was 90.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2019, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Keahey Chapel one hour before services. Rev. Tyler Ingram will officiate. Interment will follow in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Colvin, Robert Welch, Jim McCloskey, David Huffman, Darren Huffman, and Jason Owens.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Peggy (James) McCloskey of Red Level; Patti (Gary) Young of Lock Haven, PA; Susan (Robert) Welch of Dozier; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her husbands, Jack Skapnit and Howard Finley and a son, Tommy Lee Skapnit.

She loved playing Bingo and working on puzzle books. There was a predetermined day each month that she was to go to the Biloxi Casino’s and “nothing” was allowed to interfere with that schedule! She was actively involved with the Andalusia Adult Activity Center where she exercised three times a week and went on many tour trips with them.
