Mrs. Scarlette Greene Abercrombie, of Louisville, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018, at her residence. She was 75.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Pea River Presbyterian Church in Clio. Rev. Brewer Ames officiating. Special music will be provided by Ronnie Sanders accompanied by Deborah Abercrombie. Interment will follow in the Pea River Presbyterian Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home of Clio and at the church one hour prior to services.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David W. Abercrombie of Louisville; son, David W. Abercrombie, Jr. of Kissimmee, FL; two daughters, Allison Abercrombie Mitchell of Eufaula and Anna (Larry) Abercrombie Key of Louisville; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry (Joe) Carpenter of Clio; grandchildren, Garrett Mitchell, Madison Mitchell, Dalton Key, James (Dawn) Key and Heather Key; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Karen Greene and a special friend, Sue Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Derrill Greene and Sara Dean Greene and a brother, Dennis Greene. Mrs. Abrecrombie was an educator for 29 years in the Barbour County School System; she was also an avid reader. She loved to travel abroad and enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Pea River Presbyterian Church for 54 years.
