Laura Godwin Obituary

Mrs. Laura J. Godwin, age 90, of Andalusia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at USA Medical Center in Mobile. Mrs. Godwin enjoyed oil painting, gardening, and was a member of Crossway Ministries. She retired several years ago from Alatex.

Mrs. Godwin is survived by her two children, Tony (Lisa) Godwin of Andalusia and Roy Godwin of Plantersville, AL; her grandchildren, Brandy (Jeremy) Bond of Andalusia, Tammy Godwin of Prattville, Shelley (Todd) Jones of Birmingham, and Mark Godwin of Clanton; 7 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ed Taylor of Petry, AL and Elton (Glenda) Taylor of Andalusia; and her sisters, Doris (Newton) Holmes of Luverne and Helon (Mason) Williamson of South Carolina..

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lelon Kenneth Godwin and her son Edward James Godwin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derrick Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 28, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia.
