Mr. John Douglas Shehane of Clio passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at his residence. He was 72.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Keahey Chapel in Clio. Rev. Joseph L. Haddan will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Keahey Funeral Home one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Word of Truth Church Cemetery on Hwy. 10, Clio.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Debbie Shehane; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy Lee & Steven Daniel Baxter of Louisville; brothers, Lonnie Dean Shehane and Jack Travis Shehane, both of Clio; sisters, Lillian Milligan of Seal, Al; Mernette (Bobby) Bray of Troy.
Born April 1, 1947 to Bill and Polly Shehane, he was a 1967 graduate of Barbour County High School. He worked for many years as an assembly line worker for the Cadillac Plant in Detroit, Michigan. He loved fishing and horse racing and had a special "knack" for winning radio station trivia games and best of all he was a ROLL TIDE fan!
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, A.V. Shehane, Billy Shehane, Lalar V. Nichols and Loretta Gleason.
