Mr. James Robert DuBose, age 74, of Opp, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017.  James served as the assistant pastor at Fleeta Assembly of God Church and he loved fishing and hunting.

Mr. Dubose is survived by his wife, Rev. Dell DuBose of Opp; his daughter, Tammy Ingram (Robert) of Elba; his sons, Alan DuBose of Opp and David Messick (JoAnne) of Baker, FL; his grandsons, Jamison Bailey, Jason Messick, Jessie Messick, Mathew Messick and James Messick; and four great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Kelly of Opp,  Louise Rogers of Florida and Mary Shear of Texas; and his brothers, Arnold DuBose of North Carolina and Jack Pugh of Enterprise.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Pete DuBose.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Fleeta Assembly of God Church.  Memorialization is by cremation.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2017, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Andalusia.
