Dorothy Lumpkin Obituary

Dorothy M. Lumpkin, age 73, of Andalusia, passed away at her residence Wednesday, June 20, 2018. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she was a big fan of Atlanta Braves baseball.

She is survived by her children, Ricky (Lee) Lumpkin of Andalusia and Jeanetta (Ricky) Knowles of Red Level; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and by her brother-in-law, David Chappell, and her sister-in-law, Sarah Maloy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Parnell Lumpkin; her siblings, Joe Edward Nelson, Russell Maloy and Mary Chappell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 22, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Andalusia with Rev. Derwood Cleland officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Rose Hill. Keahey Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Keahey Funeral Home.
