Mr. Lester Phillips, of Florala passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Chautaugua Nursing Facility. He was 85.  Mr. Phillips worked as a logger most of his life. 

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Eva Phillips of Florala; children, Ken (Paula) Phillips of Defuniak Springs, Fl; Rhonda (Steve) Geohagan of Florala, Al; grandchildren, Katina Barroso of Orlando, Fl; Sabrina (Robert) Davis of Panama City, Fl; Presten Sporko  of  Panama City, Fl; Matt (Coty) Geogahan of Brent, Al; Mark (Whitney) Geohagan of Andalusia; Paige (Johnathan) Campbell of Defuniak Springs, Fl; Ashley (Alex) Eaton of Defuniak Springs, Fl;  Hannah Phillips of Defuniak Springs, Fl; Madison Phillips of Defuniak Springs, Fl; 9 great grandchildren; brother, James (Bobbie) Phillips of Andalusia.  Earlier this year, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Sporko.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Stateline Church of Christ. Rev. Robert Harrison and Rev. Kevin Presley will officiate. Special music will be provided by Ed Harrison, David & O’Quinn Willis and Darrill Fink.  Burial will follow in the North Creek Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart officiating.  Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Geohagan, Matt Geohagan, Bud Phillips, James D. Phillips, Marshall Phillips and Mark Phillips.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8th at Keahey Funeral Home of Lockhart.
