Erica Elizabeth (Betty) Reber Faulk, age 85, of Level Plains, AL passed peacefully on Saturday September 30, 2017,  surrounded by loving family and friends.   

She was born December 8th, 1931, in Auckland, New Zealand and raised in British Columbia, Canada.  Daughter of Catherina Reber Gilmour and George Pocock, she married Billy M Faulk Sr. on December 28, 1955 and traveled around  the world as a military wife for 54 years until her husband’s death in 2010.   Betty enjoyed living in many places in the world making a home for her husband and children.  She has always considered Alabama as home after coming to the US in 1954.  She moved back to Ozark in 1995 after retiring from Walt Disney World, Florida.  During her travels, she did volunteer work with both the Magpies & Air Force while living in Taiwan, then with ACS at Fort Rucker as the manager of the lending hanger.  She is a member of United Presbyterian Church of Canada, she was a Girl Guide and Assistant Leader in Canada.  She also worked with both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America while her children were young. 

Betty is survived by daughter,  Beccie (Bruce) Grantham of Level Plains, AL; son, Mason (May) Faulk of New Smyrna Beach, FL; daughter, Ngaire Anderson of Orlando, FL; and son, Walter Funk of BC, Canada; her grandchildren: Jake & Cassandra Vest of Enterprise; Meghan & Philip Cole of Level Plains, Garrick & Hannah Vest of Enterprise, Bryan Faulk of Chicago, IL; Keri & David Anderson of Chancellor; and her great grandchildren: Hanna, Carson, Anna Grace, Brayden, Katelynn, Madison, Braxton, Kinley, and Asher, Klara Elizabeth. She is also survived by loving siblings: her brother, John Gilmour; and her sisters: Rewa Sullivan; Ngaire Gilmour; Velda Hooghmiester; and Erica Warman; and her sister-in-law, Mary Carroll of Clio, AL, along with many relatives in Canada, New Zealand & Australia.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherina Reber Gilmour and her step-father, John Gilmour; her father, George Pocock; her daughter, Catherina Margaret Faulk; her son, James Allen Faulk; and her sister, Raynor Booker.  

The family is especially thankful for the kind, loving and genuine staff with Kindred Hospice of Enterprise.  We are so blessed, honored and thankful for our mother to have had the most special caregiver, as well, Sylvia Collier of Midland City, AL.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017 at Keahey Funeral Home in Clio, Alabama, with Pastor Mike Foreman officiating.  The family will receive friends  at 11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Elam Cemetery in Elamville with  Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing.
