Glenward Greene, 80 of Louisville passed
away February 22, at his home, following an extended illness.
Funeral
services will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 24, at Prospect Baptist
Church. The family will receive friends
at the church one hour prior to services.
Interment will follow in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with
Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing. He is survived by his devoted and loving
wife, Martha Norton Greene, his son, Mark Greene, his daughters, Lecie G.
Tillman and Tammy G. McRae, five grandchildren, Tony Greene and wife Becky,
Patrick Greene, Angela Tillman Kelley and husband, Billy, Michael Tillman and
wife, Lindsey and Eric McRae and wife, Dawn, six great grandchildren, Avery
Greene, Dillon Kelley, Brody Kelley, Laney Tillman, Kape McRae and Brox McRae.
Mr. Greene is also survived by one brother, James Greene; and two sisters,
Nannie Mae Hartzog and Francis Green; and several nieces and nephews. Survivors
include special friends, Ronnie Teal, Jean Griffin and Mary Helms. Mr. Greene
was preceded in death by two brothers, H.J. Greene and Hayward Greene; two
sisters, Lillian Baxley and Carrie Lou Helms.Active pallbearers will be Tony
Greene, Patrick Greene, Michael Tillman, Billy Kelley, Eric McRae, and John
Greene.Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the
Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Nannie Mae Hartzog, 1034 Co. Rd. 43,
Clayton, Alabama 36017.

ReplyDeleteMr. Greene is in the best possible place to be, in God's memory. Hopefully, we who never got to know him personally will see him in the New Paradise Earth soon to come (Acts 24:15). My sincerest sympathy to you.
