Howard was a man of great Faith in His Lord. Though a great and accomplished business man, Above all else in this world, Howard loved his family. He loved people, and finally he loved his work. He spent his professional life in the insurance business where he excelled, because of his love of people. He was a kind and generous man, one of the Greatest Generation and he exemplified the traits that made his generation great. He was a man of “uncommon” common courtesy, always courteous and polite, constantly thanking anyone for even the smallest things they did for him.

Howard had a beautiful voice and loved to share it with those around him and to offer praise to His Lord. Many will recall his singing of “The Lord’s Prayer”, especially his Brother Mason’s, of which he was a member for over fifty years. He loved attending church and his church family.

He had many friends, but one special friend, Rex Jones, who helped him in his final years by visiting as often as possible. Rex would come by and he and Howard would laugh and cut up and “swap stories” about “the good ole days” and enjoy each other’s company.

Above all, Howard loved His Lord!

  2. To the Family I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you. May the words of Christ Jesus be of comfort to you. He states at John 5:28, 29 that all those in the memorial tombs (graves) will hear his voice and come out. Our Heavenly Father Jehovah God also assures us at Revelation 21:3-5 that he is going to wipe away the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever and death will be no more. Again, I extend my condolences to you. May the God of all Comfort, comfort each of you.
